Anglican Church Women
The A.C.W. is a fellowship and fundraising group for women of all ages. General Business Meetings are held approximately five times per year.

The A.C.W. meets in the Fireside Room in the church. The meetings are held at 1:15 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. The group raises funds for Christian Outreach and the church needs, by preparing baked goods and crafts for the Annual Christmas Bazaar. They also hold a "Decadent Dessert Card Party" every year. If you like to make crafts and enjoy lively fellowship then we would love to hear from you. For more information contact the Church.

Mothers' Union
The Mothers' Union is a worldwide society of fellowship dedicated to the advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life. It is open to all Baptized Christians of any denomination. You do not have to be a mother to join.

The objectives of the Mothers' Union are to:

  1. Uphold Christ's teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote it's wider understanding.
  2. Encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the church.
  3. Maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service.
  4. Promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children.
  5. Help those whose family life has met with adversity.

Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the Fireside Room. Please contact the church office for the Mother's Union Branch Leader and telephone number for more information.

Social Events
Social events are an important part of the life of St. Matthew's Church that help us to promote fellowship within our church family and the community in which we live. Social events take place many times throughout the year. We hope that you will join us at the various events. If you would like to help in any way, please contact the Church office.

Coffee Hour Hosts
After every 10:30 a.m. service, coffee, tea, and juice are prepared for parishioners. A schedule is prepared at the beginning of the year. If you would like to offer your Time and Talents, please call the Church office.

Volunteer Coordinator
St. Matthew's is a vibrant and lively place and our need for volunteers grows every year. The Volunteer Coordinator draws from a resource base that is compiled throughout the year. We hope you will respond positively when called upon, so that we can fulfill the ministry Christ has given each of us and help our church to grow.

Scouts and Guides
St. Matthew's is very proud of its involvement with Scouts and Guides and their objectives of helping young people to develop character, and become responsible, resourceful members of society through social and spiritual development.

The young people involved find Scouting and Guiding challenging, exciting and fun. We encourage all young people to check out these groups and get involved.
