Who We Are
We are a Christian community who believe in the love of God, and want to reflect this belief in our lives by sharing our worship with all who wish to join us, so that we can grow spiritually together. We enjoy praying, singing and rejoicing in the Lord, and we believe that we can make a difference in the lives of those in the Burlington community.
We are all part of God's great family, and we welcome all to participate in our family joy. Whether you are married, single, divorced, widowed, young, elderly, with or without children, you are invited to join us in our worship and programs.
We enjoy hearing laughter and the special joyful noise that children (and adults) make, but we also respect the need for quiet times, and times of reflection and prayer.
We are a community that is eager to expand the boundaries of our faith and worship, while maintaining a respectful appreciation of the Holy Scriptures and the traditions of the Anglican Church of Canada.
We belong to the Diocese of Niagara that includes approximately 120 parishes from Niagara Falls to Orangeville. We have three Lay Delegates who attend a yearly Diocesan Synod with the Clergy.
Our church has a governing Corporation comprised of two Wardens, four Deputy Wardens and the Rector. The Parish Council meets on the 3rd Tuesday every month except during the summer months, and is made up of representatives of the congregation. The Parish Council makes recommendations to the Corporation for review. We hold an annual Vestry Meeting in February on the budget proposed for the coming year.
