Our place of worship

We meet for community worship on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. throughout the year. Every Wednesday we meet at 10:00 a.m. in the Firesde Room for an informal Eucharist in a 30 minute service. **There will be no Wednesday morning service throughout the month of July 2011 but will resume in August 2011.

At the 8:30 a.m. service on Sunday we use the  Book of Alternative Services (B.A.S.).  There is no choir or child care at this service.

At the 10:30 a.m. service we also use the Book of Alternative Services (B.A.S.). Our Chancel Choir and congregation sing hymns from the Common Praise Hymn Book of the Anglican Church of Canada. Newcomers, visitors, and guests at St. Matthew’s are always greeted with a warm welocme. We hope that you will find our worship services meaningful and uplifting.

At St. Matthew’s we believe that worship is the joyous responsibility of the whole community and not just the clergy. Once a month we have an energetic kid-friendly Family Service. The children are encouraged to participate in the worship service.

Many of our parishioners participate in the leadership of our services each week. God calls us all to diverse forms of ministry and we use our gifts in many different ways.
