Chancel Choir 

 

 

The Choir practices Thursday evenings from 7:45 to 9:15 p.m., preparing for regular Sunday services and special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Fellowship generated at practices is enhanced by social events such as potluck suppers. The choir is open to people of all ages and levels of experience who are able to match pitch and meet the majority of rehearsal and service requirements. Previous singing experience is not necessary. All are welcome! Come give it a try. Enjoy great music and fellowship! 

 

  Hand Bell Choir

St. Matthew’s is very fortunate to have a lovely set of handbells, which have a beautiful and unique sound and are played on special occasions. Members range in age from early teens to seniors. Practices are held Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear Dudley Oakes perform live in St. Matthew's Sanctuary. Dudley is currently the Organist at historic St. Joseph's Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. where President Obama worships. This recital will include compositions by Bach, Franck, Durufle, and Liszt. Friday March 23rd at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 Adults and $10 for Students.
