Adult Education

Adult Christian Education takes many forms, including Bible Study and interesting discussion groups about church and faith issues. These help us to learn the relevance of Scripture in today’s society while enjoying the fellowship of our Christian community.

We offer a variety of educational opportunities:

  • Lenten and Advent Educational Series
  • 9:15 a.m. Sunday Morning Gathering is a group that studies the Bible Readings for the day and enjoys good fellowship.
  • Small Group Fellowship
  • Women’s Spirituality Group
  • Prayer & Meditation Group
  • Confirmation classes for young teens.

Newcomers are always welcome to join any of these groups. In-depth Bible Study is offered by the Education for Ministry. This is a 3 year Study course at a cost of $300.00. Ask clergy for further details.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear Dudley Oakes perform live in St. Matthew's Sanctuary. Dudley is currently the Organist at historic St. Joseph's Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. where President Obama worships. This recital will include compositions by Bach, Franck, Durufle, and Liszt. Friday March 23rd at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 Adults and $10 for Students.
