Christian Formation

Christian Formation is one of the ways that help a community develop in faith and understanding. It has grown to encompass both “Church School” and “Adult Education”, allowing us all to participate in the spiritual growth of our children and each other.

Nursery (Newborn – 3)

Our nursery is well equipped to provide all the needs of fun-loving children of this age through stories, crafts, music and play. There is a paid Supervisor and an assistant on staff but additional help is always welcome.  If you are able to volunteer, please let the staff know.

Church School (ages 4– 10)

Christian education of our children is, to a large extent, the responsibility of the parents, with help on Sundays from dedicated teachers who work to foster and support family home worship. The children join us for the beginning of Worship at the 10:30 a.m. service; classes start right after the “Children’s Focus”. Classes are held downstairs in the Church Hall. At the beginning of the offertory hymn the children return to receive Holy Communion or a Blessing with their families. Occasionally they remain downstairs to complete their activities. We are enjoying our curriculum One Room Sunday School .
Children are encouraged to participate in Church School, where they will learn with other children at their own level. However, they are welcome to stay in church with their parents if they wish. During the months of July and August the children remain upstairs in Church with their families. Coloring and activity sheets are available from the Narthex table.
